When you are cheerful and totally in mood to spend time in kitchen, go for this recipe. I was so so happy how this came out, beautiful combination of spices and flavours. Also, for me a break from regular curry. Because it was Friday and I got fresh vegetables, I was all up to try to make something different than usual. This was just fantastic. 

You have to, have to try this. It’s in my favorite list now. So, I’ll tell you how I made this:

Ingredients
  1. All purpose flour- 2 table spoon
  2. Papprika – ½ tea spoon
  3. Pepper– ½ tea spoon
  4. Salt – 1 table spoon
  5. Mutton or lamb – 400 gms
  6. Onion – 1 large
  7. Garlic cloves – 3 to 4
  8. Spring onions – 2 sticks
  9. Tomatos – 2
  10. Cherry tomatoes – 4 to 5
  11. Cinnamon stick – ½
  12. Mace – 1/4 teaspoon
  13. Nutmeg – 1/4 teaspoon
  14. Coriander powder – 1 teaspoon
  15. Olive oil – 1 teaspoon
  16. Butter – 1 teaspoon
Instructions
  1. In all purpose flour, add paprika, pepper and salt. Mix it well. Now coat the mutton pieces with flour and spices. In a pan heat vegetable oil and fry the mutton pieces, till they are golden brown.
  2. In another pan, heat olive oil and melt butter into it. Add onions and crushed garlic. You can also grate garlic. When onions start to turn golden brown, add spring onion. Also add mace and nutmeg. Sautee the vegetables. After 1 minute add tomato puree. You can also use tinned tomatoes.
  3. When vegetables are cooked add mutton pieces into it. Stir well with vegetables. Add 200 ml of broth of your choice. I used just water.
  4. Let it simmer for 15-20 minutes on low flame. When meat is tender, transfer in the tray and cook in preheated oven (180’C) at 170’C for 30 minutes.
  5. Mutton is ready and It smells wonderful. Serve it with steaming hot rice. Enjoy!!!!
